Our Beautiful Girl

It is hard to believe Mia has only been part of our family for one day. She slept all night (from about 7:30 until about 5:00 am). Mark had been awake off an on since 3:00 (he was us checking the Titans game). So 5:00 really was not too early.
She was still a little scared but, took a bottle from Mark right away. She quickly warmed up as all four of us took showers/baths before breakfast. Mia loved her bath. We had a big breakfast buffet in our hotel (similar to Beijing) then had a lot of down time in our hotel room.
Mia discovered her toes and started to smile and laugh. By mid morning we ventured out to explore a little bit. We ended up going to the grocery store (Mark had gone to yesterday) and finding something to take back to the room for lunch.
At 2:00 we met our group and headed out to finalize our adoption (she is legally ours) and apply for Mia's passport to come home. We then went to the Wal-Mart. I know Speer and Ross are glad we are still supporting them. It is very, very, very similar to our Wal-Marts. It is bigger. There are two stories with a moving escalator which is really a ramp so you can push your cart. They have tons of food which is different than the US. But, the nonfood items are almost the same. They even say, "Thank you for shopping at Wal-Mart" over the loud speaker (in Chinese of course). We picked up dinner KFC (they have one on every corner over here) and brought it back to the room. Mia, Noah and Mark were all asleep by 7:00.

My favorite part in this entire post is "she is legally ours". We are so excited for you guys.
Its great to see Noah as the big brother.
Thank goodness for Walmart and KFC being anywhere in the world. Glad you are all getting some much needed rest.
